| La densité d'élevage des mollusques est un des facteurs importants qui conditionnent la qualité de la production. Dans le bassin de Thau, une réflexion est actuellement en cours pour mettre en place un schéma des structures encadrant les pratiques conchylicoles de manière à améliorer et régulariser la qualité des huîtres. | Le Réseau Hydrologique Littoral Normand (RHLN) a été approuvé en 2007 par ses partenaires, avec le triple objectif (1) de maintenir le suivi de la qualité des masses d’eau et d’évaluer leur niveau d’eutrophisation en réponse aux réglementations (Directive Nitrate, OSPAR, DCE), (2) de poursuivre la réflexion sur la définition des indicateurs DCE, puis (3) de développer les connaissances et de fournir des données à la modélisation. | Intertidal flats of the estuarine macro-intertidal Baie des Veys (France) were investigated to identify spatial features of sediment and microphytobenthos (MPB) in April 2003. Gradients occurred within the domain, and patches were identified close to vegetated areas or within the oyster-farming areas where calm physical conditions and biodeposition altered the sediment and MPB landscapes. | The blue mussel, Mytilus edulis, is a commercially important species, with production based on both fisheries and aquaculture. Dynamic Energy Budget (DEB) models have been extensively applied to study its energetics but such applications require a deep understanding of its nutrition, from filtration to assimilation. Being filter feeders, mussels show multiple responses to temporal fluctuations in their food and environment, raising questions that can be investigated by modeling. | We successfully tested a Dynamic Energy Budget (DEB) model of the oyster Crassostrea gigas using published environmental data and growth data collected in Than lagoon (France). Estimates of most DEB parameters were based on independent datasets and only two parameters were calibrated using our datasets: the shape parameter, which was used to convert body volume into shell length, and the half-saturation coefficient, which controlled the functional response of assimilation to food concentration, represented by chlorophyll-a concentration.
